SONATA SINISTRA is an homemade one man project born in May 2010 with the goal to express in music my passion for 70's / 80's horror movies and doom metal, especially for that kind of essential doom that have as main reference the super-classics Sabbath's Master of Reality and the Saint Vitus' "Born Too Late", my two favorite albums of the genre. With the Sonata Sinistra i express my devotion to horror movies through narrative texts with very simple dark atmosphere, without giving too much importance to the message of the word and considering it as a compendium to the mood of the song.
Until now the songs uploaded on myspace and on the soundcloud page are more than anything else homemade demos, recorded by myself with guitar, bass, drum machines, synths, theremin, and vocals; i'm going to re-record them very soon in studio (finally being able to play the acoustic drum tracks) for the construction of an EP vinyl 12''.
