Questa registrazione, presentata per Sound Corner numero 21, ed eseguita per l’intero mese di Aprile presso L’Auditorium di Roma, contiene la riproduzione fonografica dell’oggetto sonoro in ceramica "Satan's Future", contenuto nell'edizione concettuale "dying edition",  che sarà pubblicata da RM-ED/L nei prossimi mesi, e concepita per rendere omaggio all'opera dell'artista Paul Chain, ed alla sua personale ricerca escatologica, l'antica filosofia della morte o magia viola. Un’anticipazione dell’edizione d’arte dell’oggetto sonoro effimero in ceramica, che è stato progettato per essere consumato durante il suo ascolto. Il processo stesso di riproduzione, che avviene per frizione meccanica della puntina del giradischi sul disco in ceramica, consumerà via via le onde sonore incise. Lentamente così scompariranno, lasciando solo mute ceneri.

Housed in a ultra-thick (the whole thing is 750 grams!) casewrapped gatefold with a silver foil mirror inside, making it one of the most deluxe FOAD releases to date, this is the official reissue of Minotauro‘s “Mirror” single/comp. trax anthology for the first time ever on a vinyl set, adding the rare B-side track off the “Needful/Yellow acid” 7″ not included on the previous CD version! A fantastic journey through the sinister and doomy landscapes of this Italian Metal/DeathRock master of evil, a curse turned into violet art, an esoteric and individual beast without anything resembling trendiness or modernization, reaching back from its late 80′s standing into the dark murkiness of the 70′s at some parts, and at others into an entirely new dimension, unexplored by man before and since.  Paul Chain has stood as a pillar in the Italian metal scene for over three decades, launching his cult career with the infamous DEATH S.S. and inspiring a lot of major artists among which Lee Dorrian of Cathedral and the whole Southern Lord Rec. team!
This compilation shows all of Paul Chain’s sides. From experimental industrial/ambient to grooving hard/psychedelic rock. From NWoBHM to heavy traditional doom. Anyone who’s new to this guy should have a listen to this.  Includes: “Mirror” 7″, “Yellow acid / Needful” 7″, “Les temps du Grand Frère” 7″, splt 7″ with Der Tod, split 7″ with Eversor, 6 songs from different compilations (1985 to 1993) and a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Electric funeral”. 14 songs.

PAUL CHAIN - King Of The Dream / Ash ( Vinyl edition out soon from Buried By Time And Dust Records USA)

Buried By Time And Dust Records announce the upcoming of this killer vinyl edition.
The album starts of with the nearly 14 minute track "King of the Dream" from 1987 's split with Sabotage. The Ash lp is also included continuing the varied material of thrash numbers and total doom. Finally included is an unreleased never before heard track "Undead".

The release date is expected on 29th December.

I'm glad to announce to all the "Italian Doom Metal" fans that the finland label "Svart Records" is going to reissue two Paul Chain's classics on vinyl edition.
These reissues are licensed by the historical italian label "Minotauro records", the release date is June 28th.

"Life And Death" was the first Paul Chain's solo album after disbanding Violet Theatre and it was originally released on Minotauro Records in 1989.

The german label "High Roller Records" has reissued for the 2nd time the legendary "Detaching From Satan" MLP.

There are some differences between the 1st High Roller reissue and this 2nd one :with regard to the black vinyl, compared to the first reissue, differs the color of the label; as regards the colored vinyl version of the first and second reissue, the shades of purple are different.
The shades of colors and picture on the cover are different (the photo on the 2nd reissue is more clear)
