PLATEAU SIGMA - ∑ working on a new EP for Avantgarde Music

A few months later the outfit of their second well acclaimed album ,the ligurian Death/Doomers "Plateau Sigma" are announcing the recording of a new EP titled "Rituals"to be realized by the italian cult label Avantgarde Music . The song "Palladian ( An Affront To Minerva)" will be included both on this Ep and on the third upcoming full-legth .

The Ligurian Death/Doomsters "Plateau Sigma are spreading some interesting news about their upcoming album : "We are glad to inform you that our album is complete in all his forms. Now we are looking forward to the release date; we can say with certainty that it will be out in September.
We are honored to have worked with many artists who have left their trace in this second child. One of them is Mark Demsteader, a british figurative painter, who allowed us to use one of his paintings as a cover for the artwork."

I Plateau Sigma sono una Death/Doom Metal band ligure formatasi nell'inverno del 2010 come frutto dell'incontro e dell'intesa artistica tra Manuel Vicari e Nino Zuppardo.

Il concetto stilistico della band si basa su idee musicali di Manuel anteriori alla sua precedente esperienza con i "Screaming Jesus" , una dark wave experimental band.

Successivamente entrano nella formazione Francesco Genduso e Maurizio Avena completando la line-up.

Il loro debutto "White Wings Of Nightmares" è un eccellente compendio di sonorita' Death/Doom, Death Metal e Dark Wave impreziosito da un gusto compositivo progressive.

L'album si apre con la splendida "In The Air" la cui delicata intro immerge l'ascoltatore in atmosfere malinconiche ed autunnali ; il fascino glaciale e poetico delle sue note viene accompagnato dalla "clean voice" di Manuel che per tutto l'album si alterna al cantato in growl di Francesco.

Il brano procede con un riffing doom metal che manifesta un ottimale continuita con le parti melodiche dell'intro, sino ad arrivare ad un death metal piu canonico.

 "Lunar Stream Hipnosis" ha un profilo stilistico specificatamente orientato su un death metal caratterizzato da tonalita piu' aggressive alternate ad arrangiamenti dark/melodici.

 La song "Dreaming To Dissolve" costituisce la parentesi piu oscura dell'album , inoltrarsi tra le sue note è un immersione nell'energia e nelle potenzialita' della band che riesce ad amalgamare con talento e disinvoltura influenze musicali tanto diverse tra loro.

"The Cult Of Mithra" è un ritorno alle trame musicali del brano di apertura caraterizzato anch'esso da un Death/doom metal dal quale emerge una delicatezza ed un vigore compositivo non comune tra i gruppi death/doom italiani..

L'ultimo brano, la funerea "Maira And The Archangel" ,chiude l'opera con un phatos colmo di drammaticita' dando prova di un eccellente interpretazione e di un ottima capacita comunicativa.

La peculiarita vincente della proposta musicale dei Plateau Sigma consiste nell'offrire un prodotto capace di conciliare una variegata gamma di influenze musicali e tale prerogativa li puo porre come fonte di interesse per un pubblico di ascolto piu vasto.

PLATEAU SIGMA - The deal with Beyond...Prod. (Debut album out soon !! )

The ligurian Doom/Death Metal band "Plateau Sigma" has officially signed with the label "Beyond...Prod."
The first full-length "White Wings Of Nightmares" will be available  in Italy on 22nd july and worldwide on 2nd september .
The Doom/Death of this interesting band sounds such as early My Dying Bride and late Anathema, influenced by prog and darkwave music.
"White Wings Of Nightmares" was mastered by Giovanni Indorato in his own "Cyber Ghetto Studio"
